O Douglas (Anna Buchan) used a pseudonym because she didn't want anyone to think she was cashing in on her brother's fame. I've mostly read JB's Scottish books so far but I'm looking forward to reading more, especially some of his historical novels.lynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04509400868331534237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3020849054403226268.post-92021828346894109452013-11-14T13:14:01.625+11:002013-11-14T13:14:01.625+11:00I think I'm going to have to get this on my co...I think I'm going to have to get this on my computer to read (my monitor passes for the E-reader) - it sounds like just my thing. I recently downloaded Buchan's GREENMANTLE, but have been waiting to read it. I think this month (or next) sounds right. I did read THE 39 STEPS a while back, but I confess that I liked the movie more. However I hadn't heard of these other books - hadn't researched Buchan much, I admit. So thanks for the heads up, Lyn.Yvettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08919246184376538331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3020849054403226268.post-90007520523998750092013-11-14T12:52:22.108+11:002013-11-14T12:52:22.108+11:00Hello Lyn, this is a good one! This book first came to my attention because there was an audio adaptation on BBC Radio 4 extra and it was an excellent and gripping tale of adventure. Yes that photo you've featured is a great book cover indeed.Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11834243825586087161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3020849054403226268.post-74740795413873039822013-11-14T11:07:28.712+11:002013-11-14T11:07:28.712+11:00I have this one on my Kindle too and hope to read ...I have this one on my Kindle too and hope to read it next year for a Scottish challenge I'm doing.
