That's why I wonder what he would have done if he's survived the war. I also discovered from this book that Frost's most famous poem, The Road Less Travelled, was based on the walks he took with Thomas. I remember being a ...What a great post - as usual! I remember being a young university student in England, freshly arrived on transfer from my university in New Hampshire. Of course Robert Frost was already an icon for me, but Thomas was a lovely new discovery. Your post has brought back all that joy for me. Its a funny thing creative genius - so many who have it suffer so much from the dark horror of depression. Perhaps it is the price one has to pay.
