The Book Seat

Has anyone else come across these? It's a triangular bean bag for propping up your book so you can read hands free. Mine is a birthday present from my sister. It's great for reading while eating dinner. No more trying to hold the book down with my elbow while manipulating knife & fork. Maybe this is why I eat a lot of soups & stirfrys - only need one implement so I still have a hand free for the book. It's going to be much easier from now on.

  1. What fun! I think it would annoy me though by making it harder to turn the pages!

  2. Verity, the perspex slide at the bottom pulls forward so you don't have to lift the book out to turn the page. Apparently you can do this with one hand although I haven't tried it yet!

  3. Until I saw the second picture, I assumed this was for a reader to sit in! It looks very useful.

  4. Where are these available from, and what do they cost? This is mine; a present, but you can get them from this German site. An additional bonus is the matching book cover with a Velcro strip which corresponds with a strip on the cushion for added stability.
