Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to everyone who visits I Prefer Reading. Thank you for your conversation over the year. Lucky, Phoebe & I hope you all have a peaceful Christmas & receive lots of bookish presents.
I had trouble convincing the girls that posing in front of the Christmas tree was a good idea so these are just a few of my favourite photos of them over the years.
And one of Abby from Christmas 2010.

Dear Lyn,
ReplyDeleteA very merry X-mas from Austria and all the best for you and Lucky and Phoebe! Thank you sooo much for your lovely blog ... Here I first read about Fletcher's End and A Most Contagious Game, which I really enjoyed. Now I have just started reading Silent Nights ... Fortunately our Christmas Holidays have begun, which means lots of time for reading and cuddling with "the boys". Maybe later tonight I'm going to watch A Christmas CArol with them catnapping on the sofa - a favourite X-mas tradition we have in my house.
Merry Christmas, it sounds as though you'll be having a lovely time. I finish work at lunchtime today & then have a few days off which will be great, especially as rain is forecast for Boxing Day. We need it! I've already watched two versions of ACC & listened to the audio book but I will watch at least one more version before Christmas is over. Best wishes for the New Year.
DeleteAnd a very Merry Christmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mac n' Janet.
DeleteMerry Christmas Lyn!
ReplyDeleteAnd to you, Val!
DeleteA very Merry Christmas! I think there are a couple of bookish packages for me waiting to be opened - I hope under your tree as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa. My family don't buy me bookish presents as they have no idea what I've read! That's fine though, I don't really need any more books... I hope your bookish packages contain something enticing.
DeleteMerry Christmas Lyn dear. I hope Santa brings the books you are hoping for. Thank you for your always interesting blog.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Rose, I've told Santa about my book-buying ban so I'm not expecting any books this year, not even from myself!
DeleteMerry Christmas, Lyn, to you and your loved ones! Thank you for your blog. I love reading it . I wish you nice holidays and a Happy New Year - a little in advance - and lots of books, of course!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for the New Year to you, Camille. I'm glad you enjoy the blog.
DeleteMerry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you Vicki. Best wishes for a bookish New Year.
DeleteMerry Christmas to you, Phoebe, and Lucky. I enjoy your thoughts on books and the photos of the cats.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Joan. Phoebe & Lucky send purrs as well.
DeleteDear Lyn,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all your bookish ramblings and photos of inspiring new books to explore over the past several years. Discovered you while living in Israel and now read you from Alaska. Will be eternally grateful for your post on the Persephone publications. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday and excellent new year! :-)
Happy New Year Kristine. I'm glad you enjoy the blog. I hope Alaska is seasonally cold today, other parts of the US seem to be a bit too warm.
DeleteDear Lyn
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family. Your blog posts are always a treat. Thanks for the time and effort you put into them.
Best, Star.
Thank you Star. All the best for the New Year.
DeleteWe're having an unseasonably warm Christmas Day here in Ontario this year but the spirit is as festive as ever. Merry Christmas to you and cuddles to the kitties, Lyn!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Darlene. We had a very hot Christmas Day but the cool change brought 45mm of much-needed rain to my little corner of the world & also helped the firefighters on the coast trying to put out a fire that burned down over 100 houses on Christmas Day.
