I hope you all have a lovely, peaceful day. After lunch with my family, Lucky, Phoebe & I will be settling down to watch Scrooge with Alistair Sim or maybe A Christmas Carol with Michael Hordern or Patrick Stewart or George C Scott... It's not an easy decision to make. I failed to get a photo of the girls lolling around the Christmas tree so here's my favourite pictures of them both (separately, of course) as they wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Happy Christmas, Lyn!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cornflower. I hope you have a lovely Christmas.
DeleteHappy Christmas to you - and good luck with the resolution to buy no more books! I've said things like that in the past, but I never stick to it...
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Christine. I make this resolution every year & one year I managed three months without buying books. I'll take a deep breath & see how I go.
DeleteMerry Christmas, Lyn! Thanks for all the good reading recommendations...looking forward to seeing your
ReplyDeleteEnd of Year list. Susan E
Thanks Susan, Merry Christmas to you. I've started thinking about my lists but it's still a work in progress.
DeleteMerry Christmas to you too, Lyn:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosie. I'll look forward to reading your blog in the New Year.
DeleteHappy Christmas Lyn
ReplyDeleteThanks Karoline. Best wishes for the New Year.
DeleteA very happy Christmas, Lyn! The Alastair Sim version is the only one we ever watched, and I'll be getting my DVD out later (it's traditional Christmas Eve viewing in my family).
ReplyDeleteI watched Alistair Sim again last night & cried at the end as always. I love the way they use Barbara Ellen in the movie & the scene when Scrooge goes to Fred's for dinner always makes me cry. I hope you enjoyed your umpteenth viewing.
DeleteMerry Christmas Lyn, Phoebe & Lucky.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rose. We hope you have a lovely day.

ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! Thanks for sharing your life and your cats. As soon as my husband gets up, there will be presents for our three cats. I think they enjoy opening them as much as they do the toys!
ReplyDeleteThank you Joan. I hope you & your family & the cats have a lovely New Year. Phoebe enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper from my presents yesterday, she loved the scrunchy noise it made.
DeleteMerry Christmas Lyn! I'm so glad to be a regular reader of yours now, and look forward to you list for 2012.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Sarah, it's lovely to see you here as well as in the dovecot. My list for 2012 is still simmering away, some difficult decisions to be made!
DeleteSuch pretty girls and they look quite happy and relaxed. I hope your day was the same and that you had a really great Christmas! I want to try and read more from my stacks next year, too, and am thinking also about my faves--looking forward to seeing your lists! :)
ReplyDeleteI think my comment was 'eaten' so will try again. Hope you had a really lovely holiday--as relaxed as your kitties look! I want to try and read more from my own stacks next year, too. And I'm thinking about my faves as well--looking forward to seeing your lists!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Dani. I think these photos express their personalities. Phoebe is completely relaxed & is obviously entitled to any attention that comes her way. Lucky is more nervous & unsure but appreciates her comfort. We had a lovely Christmas & are enjoying a week off before I go back to work.
DeleteChristmas greetings to Phoebe and Lucky from Magnus who has now developed a taste for turkey! Wishing you another great year of reading and blogging Lyn.
ReplyDeleteMagnus sends good wishes to Phoebe and Lucky and here's wishing you another great year of books and blogging Lyn.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Lynne. Are you surprised that Magnus loves turkey? I think he's definitely in the Phoebe class of cats - knows his worth & accepts all offerings as his due! I'm looking forward to another year of blogging & reading everyone else's blogs as well.
