Butter wouldn't melt in her mouth...

... but before & after this picture was taken, Lucky was chewing on my beautiful roses & pulling off the petals.

She looks the picture of innocence, doesn't she? Well, I know better! I'd call her the phantom Rose Nibbler but she doesn't even try to hide her evil tendencies.

  1. I'm defending Lucky. If you leave such tasty looking roses within paws reach, well then what's a hungry cat to do? Ginny

    1. But she's not hungry! Maybe I should start serving dessert?

  2. Our late, great cat Echo used to neatly sever the heads of any tulips I brought in. Only tulips. I'd come down to a vase of stems surrounded by all the heads. Lucky looks like she could get up to some serious mischief!

    1. Aren't they odd? Lucky never eats any other flower, only roses. Maybe it's the scent? Phoebe never goes near the flowers.

  3. Lovely shot. She does look like a seasoned criminal there. :p

    1. I don't get many photos of Lucky so I couldn't resist this one. I usually take my roses in to work so I can enjoy them unchewed but I've had a long weekend & wanted to pick some roses.

    1. Are all cats evil? All I do is try to please her & this is how she repays me!

  5. We talk about being as innocent as a new-born babe, but perhaps we might consider being as innocent as a guilty cat.

    1. Oh there's nothing so innocent-looking as a cat that knows she's done something wrong!

    1. Not me! Lucky & Phoebe have no problems making their feelings known & I'm sure your three are the same, Diana.
